IT Business Analyst
Job Description
Business & Product Analysis • Collaborate with business users to understand product requirements, system limitations, and business objectives.• Conduct detailed gap analysis between business needs and current system functionalities.• Document and maintain business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. • Evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance product offerings and system capabilities.• Participate in core system configuration, product setup, and integration with peripheral systems (billing, claims, CRM, etc.). • Ensure that all new or enhanced insurance products are properly mapped and tested in the system before go-live. • Support system migration, data conversion, and validation activities. • Work with developers, QA, and UAT teams to ensure the delivery meets business specifications.
Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science • Master’s degree or certification (e.g. PMI-PBA, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile/Scrum) is an advantage. • At least 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance or financial services industry. • Strong understanding of insurance product structures, policy administration, claims, billing, and underwriting processes. • Proven experience in core insurance system implementation or migration (e.g., LifeAsia, Guidewire, TCS BaNCS, Oracle Insurance, or similar platforms). • Familiarity with business process modeling, workflow design, and system integration concepts. • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills (both verbal and written). • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance business priorities and technical constraints.
